Sometimes you happen not to feel like having the most delicious dinner in the world, you just want to have a hot cup of chocolate in an informal atmosphere. In the very centre of Minsk in a secluded nook there is a cosy coffee house «London». It excellently combines music underground and design vanguard.

Location: the city centre, in Independence avenue. Absence of its own parking place.

Service: Two rooms:

- small room for 4 tables;
- small room on the first floor.

Without an advance order it is practically impossible to find a vacant table in the evening. Cuisine: English, European. Coffee list, more than 15 musters of tea, mulled wine, a huge number of various desserts, an original English hot chocolate. As the room is not big, waiters work on-the-fly. Smoking is allowed, so we do not recommend this café to non-smokers or those who don’t stand tobacco smoke.

Atmosphere:  It is especially pleasant to stay in London when it is cold and dark outdoors, and you sip your hot chocolate of fabulous taste. The wind is raging outside and you enjoy the warmth, cosiness and chat. In summer months the café offers a large variety of fruit desserts. If you drop in London in the height of the season, you must order a yoghurt blueberry cake, it is worth tasting, really. In spite of the fact that this place is considered a coffee-house, there is a wide choice of tea. It is upsetting that if you want to reserve a table on the first floor, you have to order some alcohol drinks. «London» is similar to «Stari Mensk». These cafes have similar menus, prices and style. In the evenings you can see informal young men in a lively manner discussing the problem of «to be or not to be»… To sum up the above mentioned: London isn’t the right place for business negotiations or serious meetings, but it is specially made for heart-to-heart talks. The owner of the café often works as a barman; he gets a great pleasure from it and the guests are enjoying his original humor. London inherited the best traditions of the bar «Johnny, be good».

Considerable drawback: there is no toilet in the coffee-house.
